I am learning how to knit, hoping desperately it is a hobby I will actually keep. You see, I always start doing things that I think are interesting and valuable, like journaling, photography, etc. that always fall by the wayside. Maybe knitting is different because it is a little more utilitarian - I get cold, and need scarfs, mittens, and socks. Yes, in 70 degree Santa Monica weather. Don't hate.
I cut my hair and my sister says I am turning into Joan Cusack. I think she means matronly. While this is most certainly not helping my image, it gives me a leg up on my sister - she will most certainly want a scarf.
Currently, I am knitting with some red yarn. It is technically going to be a scarf for Jonny, but I will probably use it more. And that's okay, because making a scarf for myself is far more utilitarian, right?
